Release Date: November 2, 2012
Stylised and marketed as iPad Mini
The first of the iPad Mini line with a reduced screen size of 7.9”, in contrast to the standard 9.7”
Features internal specifications similar to the iPad 2nd Generation
The 4th generation iPad was a surprise release during the unveiling of the iPad Mini.
This generation of iPad had the same features of the iPad 3 but with a more powerful processor.

New features are the addition of the Touch ID sensor compatible with Apply Pay
The iPad Mini 3 is essentially the same as the iPad Mini 2 with a Touch ID fingerprint sensor tacked on. The Touch ID supports unlocking your iPad with your thumbprint, purchasing apps, and using the new Apple Pay.
